Sunday walk

We often go for walks on weekends but this particular Sunday (almost a month ago) we went for a really long walk, leaving after lunch and not getting back until after dark. Thankfully by the time it got hard to see we were back on lighted pathways and then streets! We brought the wagon and made stops whenever we felt like playing in the leaves, sitting in trees and fishing but by the time we were home we were all exhausted! It was more than worth it, though.

Baby in Red

More pitures? Yes, yet another set. I would have kept it to just the baby but a few of his brother seemed to creep in too. Oh well! It's the dirt on the nose that gets me, I think.

A Matched Pair

The boys are pretty different character-wise and in looks but every once in a while I see a couple pictures where they have similar expressions and I can tell they're brothers in any case (if not identical). These four pictures were taken one after the other and it struck me how their expressions are matched in both pairs. Pursed, then teethy

Maple leaves forever

These were taken about a month ago when we last visited Aunt Dodee's house (James' great-aunt). Her yard is lovely but this maple is just perfect in pretty much every way. We came at the right time, too, when half the leaves had just fallen so were still freshly red while the tree was far from bare. So gorgeous!
