Cloudy walk

With the wall-to-wall sunshine we have enjoyed this week, it is clear these pictures are from at least a week ago. I still wanted to post them because it continues my theme of posting a bunch of pictures all from the same day because I like them and want to. So these are from a walk down to the river by our place.

Pictures worth dumping

The following may not sound as though it should be a concern big enough to post about but pictures mean a lot to me. So when I had almost a month without taking a single picture that struck me in one way or another it bothered me. And then one day I took some pictures of the boys and loved pretty much every picture. I guess you can't force art... And then almost every day following that I get another set of wonderful pictures and I feel badly about inundating everyone with piles of pictures (after scrambling for that dry month to post at least a couple pictures for updates). Here's to taking great pictures and not feeling badly about posting them. The following pictures are from the set that brought the awesome back.

Starting to obey

Our very own Mr Adorable Chubs Esquire may be a little more impulsive and less easy to be reasoned with than our Mr Thoughtful Firstborn but I have been pleasantly surprised the past couple days when he has started to obey commands (on occasion). I know he understands a lot more than I usually give him credit but it's neat to see his understanding follow through into actions. The first two incidents that I noticed were several times in a row when I told him not to touch the keyboard he took his hand away. Then, of course, his wishes took over and I eventually had to move him or the keyboard away. I've also noticed that he likes to try to stand up in the bath but now when I tell him not to there's a 50/50 chance he will sit down again instead of stand up. Not much, I know, but also not too bad for his age!
